Richings
The Rosenthal vineyard was originally planted by Gerald and Marjorie Richings on the rich, loamy soils of their Springfield Park cattle stud. The Richings range is named in honour of the Richings family who remain an integral part of the Springfield Park operations today. Our Richings wines are made with only our most premium fruit, and are only made in years when we consider that fruit to be outstanding.

RICHINGS – Riesling
Brilliant pale straw-green. Subtle fragrances of lime, and sherbert with a touch of lemon blossom. The linear drive of the palate is balanced by citrus and green apple with a crunchy mineral texture.

RICHINGS – Chardonnay
Brilliant medium straw. Subtle fragrances of nectarine and white peach with a touch of lemon blossom. The palate has a beautiful elegant structure combining upfront stone fruit with a swirl of cashews that enhances the rich palate. A distinct soft mineral acidity gently finishes this wine.

RICHINGS – Shiraz
Deep crimson with a purple hue. Lifted bouquet of mulberries, black fruits and spice. The palate is loaded with red berries and dark cherries. The palate is long and generous with savoury tones that are balanced by well-integrated fine tannins.

RICHINGS – Cabernet Sauvignon
Deep crimson with a purple hue. Lifted bouquet of forest fruits and ripe plums. The full-bodied palate has depth and length driven by mulberries, earth and tobacco. Very fine tannins finish the wine off with plushness.
